By creating an account you agree to what follows. It is deliberately short.
The service
Deutschly is free. There is no paid tier, nothing is held back, and we do not ask for payment details. We may change or withdraw features, and we may stop running the service entirely — if that happens you will be given notice and a chance to take your data.
Your account
Use a real email address you control — you will need it to verify the account and to reset your password. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. One account per person.
Fair use
Use the platform to learn German. Do not attempt to break into it, overload it, scrape it wholesale, script it at volume, or resell access to it. Do not use it to harass anyone or to do anything unlawful where you are.
The course content
The lessons, grammar explanations, exercises and listening material belong to the operator. You are welcome to use them to learn, and to keep your own notes. You may not republish them as your own or sell them.
No warranty
The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is free of mistakes, that it will always be reachable, or that it will get you to any particular level. It is a learning tool, not a guarantee of a result.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, and it goes immediately. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks the fair use section above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and any dispute goes to the courts there.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the new version.
This page describes how the platform actually behaves. It is not legal advice, and the operator details and governing law still need to be filled in.
